Day 1: HO CHI MINH CITY - MY THO - CAN THO
8:00, pick up at Sky Travel in Ho Chi Minh city and start the trip to My Tho. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising around four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.
Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking in the village paths to contemplate orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, and Vietnamese folk music performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. Be rowed in a small sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business & bee-keeping farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop. Have lunch at the local restaurant. Break time.
The afternoon is time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meeting the local people to experience their daily life in the Mekong delta. Relaxing on hammocks to enjoy the cool breeze is for those do not want to join the cycling trip. Proceed to Can Tho. Your leisure. Overnight in Can Tho (centrally located hotel/countryside-homestay)
Option 1: Stay in a hotel in Can Tho
Check in to your hotel on arrival at Can Tho. Free to explore the city on your own in the evening. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Can Tho.
Option 2 : Homestay (Dinner)
Transfer to the small village in Cai Rang district, check into your riverside cottage. Take a rest at homestay or go cycling/ trekking by yourself around the village to experience the rural lifestyle of the Mekong Delta people. Dinner is served by local host in homestay.Overnight in your riverside cottage.
Day 2: CAN THO - CHAU DOC
Breakfast at hotel/homestay. Take a leisure boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floatin
g market which is wholesale market of fruit and vegetable at its busiest at this time of the day. Keep cruising through the small channels system and visit a rice noodle making village. Break for lunch. Proceed to Chau Doc and continue the tour to visit Tra Su, getting to the wild birds Sanctuary, cruising smoothly with small boats to discover the arrays of splendid canals deep into the forest, watching storks, cranes and other tropical birds. On the way back stop by to visit Sam Mountain, the Cave pagoda (if time permitted).
Back to the Town, hotel check in. Overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 3:
Option 1: CHAU DOC - SAI GON
After breakfast, take a nice boat trip through the floating village to visit a fish far
m to see how the Mekong Delta people feed fish in their floating houses. Visit the Cham minority with their traditional weaving village, followed by a local Islamic Mosque. Trip back to Ho Chi Minh City. End at the office.
Option 2: CHAU DOC - PHNOM PENH (CAMBODIA)
After breakfast. You will check-out the hotel. The bus will transfer to ferry station and take speed boat for the final part of the journey to Phnom Penh at 07:30 AM. Arrive at Phnom Penh at around 02:00 PM. End of services.
